About the Opportunity

In this exciting opportunity within the Finance Team at Mosman Council, as part of your day to day work you will ensure that rating functions of Council are carried out in an effective and efficient manner and in accordance with statutory obligations and Council policy. This will include processing of data, correspondence and maintenance of relevant databases.

You will assist Council’s customers with rate enquiries and provide general administrative assistance to the Finance Officer – Revenue, Revenue Accountant and other staff members.

You will also focus on processing transfers of land and ensuring rates database is up-to-date, including preparation of new owner letters and liaising with relevant Officer regarding companion animals register.

About You 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounting
  • Demonstrated analytical, methodical and organised approach to work
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively to achieve deadlines
  • Strong commitment to quality customer service and continuous improvement
  • Computer proficiency with Windows and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate

Knowledge of Authority software and experience in Local Government Rating and Finance are not essential but will be highly regarded.
