What You’ll Be Working On
This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your quality customer service at the library’s Customer Service Desk to ensure efficient processing of library items.
We are looking for a customer service superstar to provide support and advice to the Library’s customers in provision of lending services, primarily on weekends.
Your day to day will involve shelve and shelf-check library items, dealing effectively and efficiently with external stakeholders including customer service requests, answering general and directional enquiries and transactions.
You will also occasionally contribute to programmes and events, and help ensure that our collections are well presented.
This role includes both one weekend shift and one evening shift per week.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
To be successful in this role you will hold a higher school certificate or equivalent.
You will bring a strong team orientation, with good organisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. You will also hold good interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
In addition to the above, you will hold a valid Working with Children Check.
